Dolphins Awarded Brandon McDonald

The Miami Dolphins have recently been awarded defensive back Brandon McDonald. Up until now, Brandon has been playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At the same time, defensive back Richard Marshall on reverse/ injury list. McDonald seems to be a good replacement for Marshall since he played in eight of the nine games in Tampa with a promising record. He had twenty tackles and one interception and started in two of the games. He entered the NFL as a fifth round draft selection by the Cleveland Browns in 2007 and in the past couple of years moved to tampa Bay and now to Miami.

Marshall has since released a statement of his injury and the status of it. "Stressful. That's the only word you can use to describe it," said Marshall, whom the Dolphins signed this offseason to a three-year, $16 million contract. "I can't practice, even if I wanted to. I can do certain things, but I can't do everything that I need to do to be out there. Marshall, who won the starting spot opposite Sean Smith in training camp, has been receiving around the clock treatment to help alleviate the pain. Before this injury Marshall has never missed an NFL game in his seven seasons.
